How a visit works

  1. 1

    Call and describe the problem

Tell us what's locked, broken or lost and where you are. You get a straight quote range and an honest arrival estimate before anyone drives out.

  2. 2

We verify, then get to work

On site, we confirm your ID and that you live there, own the car or run the business. Then the work happens at your door, in your driveway or at your storefront.

  3. 3

    Test everything before we leave

Every key is tried in every lock it should open, every fob is tested on the car, and you pay only when the job is finished.

A local locksmith you can check up on

Julian's Locksmith is a mobile locksmith based in San Bernardino's University Heights neighborhood. We drive the 210, 10, 15, 60 and 91 six days a week to reach homes, apartments, businesses and vehicles in four counties, and we carry what most jobs need: key machines, rekeying kits, common deadbolts and levers, commercial cylinders and transponder programming equipment.

Locksmithing is a trust business, so we make ourselves easy to verify. Our California locksmith company license is LCO7891, issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and you can look it up on the state's website before you call. We quote before we start, we check ID before we open anything, and we tell you plainly when something is better handled by a dealer or a different trade.

We're also honest about hours. We work Sunday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed on Saturday. That's long days, not a 24-hour promise, and we'd rather tell you that than have you wait for someone who isn't coming.

Questions people ask before they call

What areas does Julian's Locksmith serve?

We're a mobile locksmith based in San Bernardino (University Heights, near Cal State San Bernardino) serving 119 cities and communities across San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange counties, from Redlands and Yucaipa west to Rosemead and Whittier, and south to Temecula and Huntington Beach.

Are you open 24 hours?

No, and we'd rather be upfront about it. Our hours are Sunday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed on Saturday. That covers early mornings before work and late evenings after it. Outside those hours, call as soon as we open at 6:30 a.m. Sunday through Friday.

Is Julian's Locksmith licensed?

Yes. California requires locksmith companies to be licensed by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Our company license number is LCO7891, and you can confirm it on the state's license lookup at search.dca.ca.gov.

Can you make a car key if I lost all of my keys?

In most cases, yes. We cut and program keys, remotes and smart fobs on site for most makes. A few newer models only accept keys from the dealer; we'll tell you on the phone if yours is one of them, so you don't pay for a wasted trip.

Should I rekey or replace my locks after moving in?

If the hardware works and you like it, rekeying is the faster, cheaper choice: we change the pins so old keys stop working and give you new keys. Replace the locks when they're damaged, worn out, or you want a security or smart-lock upgrade.

How do you price a job?

Price depends on the service, the hardware involved, the number of locks or keys, and the time of day. We give you a quote over the phone before we head out and confirm it on site before any work starts.

Do you need ID before opening a door or making a key?

Yes. Before we open a home, business, safe or vehicle, or make a car key, we check photo ID and proof that you live there or own the vehicle. It protects you, and it's what a licensed locksmith is supposed to do.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We rekey and repair commercial locks, install high-security cylinders and master key systems, fix storefront locks, door closers and panic bars, and install keypad and card access for offices, shops, warehouses and apartment buildings.
